Arrests made in kidnapping, aggravated assault investigation; one still at large

On July 28, the Bryant Police Department began an investigation of a possible kidnapping of an adult male that occurred on July 27. The victim in this case was lured from a residence off Stivers Blvd., by two suspects and taken to a wooded area off Hwy. 298 in Saline County. The victim told investigators that he was assaulted and then handcuffed to a tree and left in a remote area in the woods. After hours of being handcuffed to a tree, he was able to get free and make his way out of the woods to a residence where local authorities were then notified.

The Investigation led Police back to the residence on Stivers Blvd., where with the help of the Bryant Police ERT Unit (Emergency Response Team), a search warrant was obtained and served on July 30. Suspects were taken into custody for questioning from this warrant which then gave them more information that has led to two arrests now in this case and an Arrest Warrant for a third suspect that is still on the loose at this time.

Chanda Hill (30) of Bryant was arrested on Tuesday Aug. 6 for Kidnapping. She is currently incarcerated at the Saline County Jail where she received a $50,000 Bond.

Matthew Taylor (30) of Benton was arrested on Aug. 9, and also charged with Aggravated Assault and Kidnapping. His bond has been set at $100,000.

Raymond Page (37) of Benton currently has an active warrant for his arrest for the charges of Aggravated Assault and Kidnapping. If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of this subject, notify the Bryant Police Department at (501)943-0943.

Due to this case still being under investigation the name of the victim cannot be released at this time.
