BAA celebrates champions, announce all-stars at closing ceremonies for regular season

The Bryant Athletic Association held its closing ceremonies for the[more] regular season on Saturday, honoring the league champions in each age division. The rosters for the Association’s various All-Star teams were also announced.

All of the teams, except the 6-year-olds, will be playing District Tournaments at Bishop Park starting Friday, June 24. There’s no District for the 6’s.

The 6-year-old team includes Reid Catton, Clay Crawford, Tucker Dunn, Mathew Griffe, Grant Johnson, Logan Hope, Carson Kemp, CJ Nagle, Logan Owen, Chase Small, Dillion Stroud and Daniel Taylor. It’s managed by Joey Small with assistance from Jonathan Hope and Michael Stroud.

The team begins State play on July 1 at Sylvan Hills then will be the host team for the Regional at Bishop Park starting July 15.

The State Tournament for 7-year-old and 8-year-old teams will be at Sylvan Hills starting July 8. Madisonville, La., will host the Regional starting July 22.

Jason Greiner is the manager of the 7-year-old team with assistance from Ryan Martin and Kevin McDonald. Members include Evan Barrrett, Luke Dreher, Caleb Greiner, Drew Hatman, Kason Highfill, Connor Martin, Logan McDonald, Colby Morrow, Cade Parker, Turner Seelinger, Hayden Thompson and Logan White.

Matt Orender coaches the 8-year-olds with assistance from Patrick Schroeder and Paul Speer. Team members include Luke Bessire, Dakota Clay, Cooper Davis, Noah Davis, Peyton Dillon, Will Hathcote, Jagger Littleton, Justin Orender, Brett Pennington, Austin Schroeder, Lawson Speer, Josh Turner and Garret Wilson.

There’s also an 8-and-under team that includes Kannon Allison, Tyler Bates, Clay Curtis, Tyler Edmonson, Cole Ferguson, Easton Dinwiddie, Christian Knight, Cameron McDonald, Cooper Kinzler, Ryan Riggs, Blaine Sears and Cole Somer. Greg Riggs is the team’s manager. His assistants are Scott Allison and Scott Curtis.

Bryant’s 9-year-old All-Stars include Cade Drennan, Jonathan Hall, Hayden Hilson, Rhett James, Colton Kilgore, Tyler LaRue, Braydan Lester, Jake Meaders, Trey McKim, Riley Morales, Shane Small and Gage Stark. Clint Hilson is the manager. Mike Meadors and Bill Drennan are the assistants.

The 9’s will play State at Lonoke starting July 8. Regionals are at Oak Grove, Miss., starting July 22.

The 10-year-old team for the BAA includes Brock Barriola, Logan Catton, Logan Chambers, Connor Clontz, Jacob Coppock, Cade Dupree, Logan Grant, Coby Greiner, Ty Jackson, Ryan Lessenberry, Will McEntire, Hunter Mullings, Nathan McFarland and Jacob Sheppard. Michael Catton is the manager. He’s assisted by Phillip Dupree and Madison McEntire.

State for the 10’s will be at Lake Village starting July 8 with Regionals at Levelland, Texas beginning July 22. The 10-year-old World Series is slated for Winchester, Va., starting Aug. 13.

The Bryant 11-year-old team includes Myers Buck, Caleb Dorsey, Brooks Ellis, Luke Curtis, Joe Green, Christian Harp, Brandon Hoover, Zach Kemp, Dylan Lawhon, Blake Pennington, Grayson Prince, Cameron Vail and Cooper Wright. The manager is Jonathan Wright with assistance from Jimmy Pennington and Tyler Brown.

The State tourney for the 11’s will be at Bishop Park starting July 8 with a Regional set for Hurley, Miss., starting July 22.

Bryant will once again field a pair of 12-year-old All-Star teams, one playing on a field with shorter pitching and basepath distances (46/60) and one that plays on a bigger infield (57/70).

The 46/60 team is coached by Rob Roedel with assistance from Keith Horn and Brian Hooper. Team members include Landon Abernathy, Ethan Cozzens, Dylan Davis, Lawson Fincher, Austin Hooper, Audrey Horn, Jared Morales, Jake Roedel, Kyle Sahr, Joseph Small, Logan Valestin and Diego Vargas.

The 46/60 State tourney will be held in Hamburg starting July 8. Benton will host the Regional on July 22, with a World Series set for Visalia, Calif., opening on Aug. 12.

For the 50/70 12’s, members include Logan Allen, Beaux Bonvillian, Drew Brown, Cameron Coleman, Jake East, Joffery Hastings, Dylan Hurt, D.J. Johnson, Austin Kelly, Hayden Knowles, Preston Kyzer, Garrett Misenheimer, Aaron Orender, Matthew Sandidge and Scott Schmidt. Darren Hurt is the manager.

The 50/70 State tournament will be July 8 in Bryant followed by a Regional at Eagle Pass, Texas starting July 22. The World Series will be hosted by Aberdeen, Md., on Aug. 13.

The 13-year-old All-Stars are Connor Alliston, Luke Brantley, Chase Brooks, Daniel Darbonne, Noah Easterling, Zach Jackson, Nick Kehrees, Mike Martindale, Caleb McElyea, Liam Miller, Connor Tatum and Hunter Winkles. The team is managed by Mark Kehrees with assistance from Tom Kehrees and Johnny Alliston.

The State tourney for 13’s will be hosted by the Little Rock Junior Deputy program, starting July 8. Regionals are set for Siloam Springs starting July 29. A World Series will be held at Clifton Park, N.Y., starting Aug. 19.

The Bryant 14’s include Dakota Besancon, Ben Bruick, Britton Crouch, Devon Dupree, Clifton Hampton, Dalton Holt, Regon Jefferson, Andrew Kincaid, Austin Montgomery, Hunter Oglesby, Jimbo Seale, Drew Tipton and Jacob Ward. Jeff Besancon manages the team with assistance from Chris Tipton and Stephen Kincaid.

State for 14’s will be held July 8 at Benton. Regional play begins July 29 at Lake Jackson, Texas with a World Series set for Glen Allen, Va., Aug. 20.

Bryant’s 15’s are Austin Caldwell, Harrison Dale, Zach Graddy, Jack James, Tristan Matthews, Austin Miller, C.J. Phillips, Nate Rutherford, Caleb Strain, Korey Thompson, Chris Troilett, Chase Tucker and Blake Yates. Jason Thompson is the manager. Chris Phillips and Jimmy Parker are his assistants.

The State tournament for 15’s will be held July 8 and a location to be determined. Regional play is set for July 29 at Plainview, Texas, with a World Series set for Aug. 20, at Jamestown, N.Y.
