BENTON — The Bryant Blue Hornets eighth grade team of Bethel Middle School absorbed a 38-18 loss to the Benton Panthers eighth grade squad at Cook Fieldhouse on Thursday. The loss dropped the Hornets to 5-5 this season. They’re scheduled for a B game with Bryant White on Tuesday, Jan. 20. They’ll host the Anthony School on Thursday.
“I was really disappointed in our effort,” said Bethel coach Dominic Lincoln. “I thought after the win Tuesday against Lake Hamilton (33-27), we would come out with some momentum but we didn’t. Benton is a really good team and they played very well.”
