Bethel girls prevail in third set to defeat Pulaski Heights

The Bryant Blue Lady Hornets eighth grade team of Bethel Middle School improved to 3-0 on the season by defeating Pulaski Heights, 25-11, 23-25, 15-7 at the Bethel gym on Thursday.

In a seventh grade game, Bryant Blue absorbed a 5-25, 6-25 setback.

Lauren Hart had four kills and, along with Katelin Cotton, led the team by serving up three aces along the way in the eighth grade win.

Brittney Warner had three kills, Kaycee White and Regan Ryan one apiece. Reagan Dabbs served up two aces and White one. Tori Allen contributed a pair of digs.

“I am very proud of the girls for staying focused and fighting back to win the third set,” said Lady Hornets coach Melissa Bragg. “They are getting better every time they play. I couldn’t ask for more. I’m very pleased with their performance.”

Next up for Bryant Blue will be a home match with Little Rock Episcopal on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
