LITTLE ROCK — The Bryant Blue Lady Hornets eighth grade basketball team of Bethel Middle School held[more] the Episcopal Collegiate Lady Wildcats scoreless in the second and third quarters and eased to a 23-4 win on Tuesday night.
The Lady Hornets surged to a 10-2 lead by the end of the first quarter then held a 14-2 lead at the half. With Episcopal’s offensive struggles continuing in the third quarter, Bryant Blue took the lead to 21-2 going into the fourth quarter.
Britney Sahlmann led the Lady Hornets with 7 points and nine rebounds. Jordan McKnight added 6 points and Annie Patton 4. Kailey Nagle, Anna Lowery and Emma Barnes added 2 apiece. Lowery made four steals.
Bryant Blue returns to action at Cabot South on Thursday at 5 p.m.
