RUSSELLVILLE — The Bryant Blue Hornets eighth grade team of Bethel Middle School busted out of a three-game losing streak with a convincing 46-22 win over the Russellville Gales on Monday night.
Demetrius Sanders scored 13 points and Jaylen Williams had 12 on four 3’s for the Hornets who improved to 3-5 on the season going into their final game before the Christmas break on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Hot Springs.
The Hornets broke out to a 14-5 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. It was 23-14 at the half and 38-22 going into the fourth quarter.
Daniel Taylor hit a pair of third-quarter 3’s for 6 points and Joshua Blackmon had 6. Zach Foote finished with 4, Evan Barrett 3 and Isaac Devine 2.
