Bryant Police to receive funds for bulletproof vests

On Friday, Aug. 21, the Arkansas Association of Chiefs of Police (AACP) will be presenting the Bryant Police Department with a check for $2,881 to purchase bulletproof vests.

The presentation will be made to Chief Tony Coffman at the Bryant Police Department by the AACP Southwest Region Vice President, Chief J.R. Wilson of Hope.[more]

AACP is a participant in the Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP), a unique U.S. Department of Justice initiative designed to provide this critical resource to state and local law enforcement agencies.

The AACP is a non-profit organization of police chiefs and executives from all over Arkansas who recognize the importance of having proven, effective leaders in law enforcement. It continually works toward enhancing the knowledge and skills of police executives so that they can effectively meet the growing demand of providing the best possible law enforcement available today.
