Family Church Bryant's Vacation Bible Adventure "SunQuest Rainforest" will be held June 14 through 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., each evening. The program is open to children ages 4 years to sixth grade.

Family Church Bryant is celebrating 20 years of service to the community with a Night of Worship concert. The event will be held Saturday, June 12 at 7 p.m.

Artists include Kari Jobe, a 2010 Dove Award nominee for New Artist, Beckah Shae, a Christian recording artist, and The Axis Band, the youth worship band from Rhema Bible Church in Broken Arrow, Okla.

Springhill Missionary Baptist Church will be holding Vacation Bible School during the week of June 14-18 beginning at 5:30 each evening with a small meal and will conclude at 8:30 each evening.

In addition, there will be a kickoff event on Saturday, June 12, from 5 to 8 p.m., that will include free drinks, hot dogs, chips, a jump house, games, face stamping and a cake walk.

Family Church will be holding a church-wide Garage Sale on Saturday, May 22, from 7 a.m. till 1 p.m. This sale will not only feature personal items being sold by members but also a selection of items from the church such as sound equipment, chairs, electronics, office supplies and much more.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — David Robinson, principal of Word of Life Lutheran School, has been selected by the Van Lunen Center for Executive Management in Christian Schools at Calvin College for a 2010-2011 fellowship.

Robinson, a 1990 graduate of Bryant High School is the son of Becky Hannah of Benton and the late Charles Robinson. He is a 1995 graduate with a B.S. in Education with minors in youth ministry and physical education, and received a Masters in Education — Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2002.

Springhill Missionary Baptist Church will be having its annual Vacation Bible School during the week of June 14-18. Classes for preschool through eighth grade.

A town hall meeting for Bryant, Benton and the rest of Saline County, sponsored by KARK 4 News of Little Rock, will be held at Brand New Church on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 6:30 p.m.

KARK is holding a series of town hall meetings across the region to incorporate the voice of viewers in its newscasts. This is the first meeting in the series.

MALVERN — Pioneer, forerunner, legend—Dallas Holm is an icon of Christian music. Though he never feels comfortable with such descriptions, Holm agrees, “Through God’s grace, I’ve been part of the Christian music ministry for a long time.”

Dallas Holm will be in concert, Sunday, Jan. 10, at 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God in Malvern at 1421 South Main Street. Everyone is invited to attend and an offering will be received.

Holm has earned his influence in today’s Christian music throughout 40 years of writing, singing and ministry in some 3,000 concerts in every state in the USA as well as many countries abroad. His 37 recordings have garnered gold records, multiple Dove awards, Grammy nominations, number one songs, and countless accolades. During his travels, Holm also speaks and teaches what God has taught him in his journey.

LITTLE ROCK — Eight residents of Bryant will be among the 100 cast and crew members involved in an adaption of the Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol” entitled “The Gospel According to Scrooge” a musical theater production at Agape Church, 701 Napa Valley Dr., Dec. 11-13.

Directed by Stephen and Sherri Brack of Bryant, the presentation brings to life the familiar Dickens’ story but adds a spiritual confrontation to the life of Ebenezer Scrooge.
