Irilli joins Bryant Chamber of Commerce staff

Youngstown, Ohio native Suzanne Irilli has found a home in Bryant.

And Irilli will be getting to know her new hometown by working with Rae Ann Fields at the Bryant Chamber of Commerce.

"I am new to the Bryant area and I was looking for something that would involve me in the community," Irilli said. "This makes it easy to kind of slide in the door and get to know people in the area."

Irilli's daughter will be attending Bryant High School and her husband will be working in Benton after the family was transferred to Saline County from Ohio.

"Everybody has been so nice," she said. "People go out of their way to say hello and to stop and chat. Everybody has been very, very welcoming.

Everett Taste of Bryant is tonight

There will be a wide variety food vendors at this year's Taste of Bryant festivities that will be held tonight at the Bryant Middle School eighth grade cafeteria.

The original venue for the event was to be at the Bishop Park community center, but due to advertising agreements for Bishop Park, the arrangements did not allow the Bryant Chamber of Commerce to function there under their bylaws.

Saline Memorial announces dates for annual golf tournament

BENTON — The Saline Memorial Health Foundation has teamed up with First Security Bank to host its seventh annual Swing Fore Saline Golf Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 9 and Friday, Sept. 10, at Hurricane Golf and Country Club in Bryant. Tournament proceeds will be used to refurbish patient care rooms.

Bryant Police to deliver rules to businesses regarding smoking products

Rules pertaining to synthetic marijuana products have arrived at the Bryant Police Department.

Bryant Police Chief Tony Coffman has instructed his officers to deliver a copy of the rules to all businesses that sell tobacco products and/or synthetic marijuana products.

Logan's Roadhouse gets plat approval from Commission

In Monday's meeting of the Bryant Planning Commission, Joe White of Logan's Roadhouse was put on the agenda at the last minute for final approval of a one-lot subdivision plat that is required by his corporation before construction is to begin.

The preliminary plat approval was okayed by the DRC and, under law, Logan's Roadhouse requires a subdivision platte close.

Planning Commission approves rezoning for family entertainment center

Upon the approval of the of site plans by the Bryant Planning Commission and the Bryant City Council, a new family center for fun and entertainment could be coming to Bryant soon.

Scene Extreme, which would be a family-friendly entertainment center, could be constructed in the near future following the Bryant Planning Commission passing a rezoning application in Monday night's meeting. The area, approximately 7.92 acres located at 6837 Highway 5, was partially zoned as residential and partially commercial. The applicant, David McCombs, who is the president of Scene Extreme, asked the Commission to rezone the area entirely as commercial property.

Tropical Touch brings massage therapy to Bryant

Steve Lawhon was told he had the touch when it came to giving massages, so the former ER paramedic decided to listen to advice from his friends and co-workers.

On Thursday afternoon, Lawhon and his partner Nichole Stonebraker had a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Bryant Chamber of Commerce introducing the new Tropical Touch Massage Clinic.

Silent auction to be held as part of Taste of Bryant

Not only will there be food served at the annual Taste of Bryant on July 29 at the Bryant eight-grade cafeteria, there will also be a silent auction held, according to Bryant Chamber of Commerce director Rae Ann Fields.

Taste of Bryant moved to Bryant Middle School

The Bryant Middle School eighth-grade cafeteria has been selected as the venue for this year's Everett Taste of Bryant on July 29.Already 22 food vendors and eight non-food booths will be present for the family-friendly food-serving event.

"We're not really finished getting booths yet," Bryant Chamber of Commmerce director Rae Ann Fields said.
