The City of Bryant is now entering into the social networking world with[more] many departments within the city launching Facebook pages this weekend. Bryant Animal Control, Bryant Police Department, Bryant Parks and Recereation, Bryant Fire Department and Bryant City Hall all have Facebook pages that will be launched at Bryant Family Festival.
“These pages will be the first of many different ways citizens will be able to interact with and participate in local Bryant government,” Mayor Jill Dabbs said.
The City is planning on this being one of many ways for citizens to better interact with City business and to be better informed.
“By utilizing these social networking sites, citizens will have access to modern day connectivity with their local government,” Mayor Dabbs said.
By “fanning” the City of Bryant and the departments on Facebook, citizens can keep up with local government, announcements, and meeting dates.
