City’s schedule of town hall meetings begins this Thursday

Town hall meetings for 2013 are scheduled to being Thursday, Feb. 7, and will continue[more] through the month of February into the first of March.

The meetings are a part of a series entitled "City of Bryant Envision 2030." The gatherings are designed to encourage citizens of Bryant to come out and voice their opinions on topics of interest regarding the future of the City. Each meeting will cover a different topic and city officials that are knowledgeable in those different areas will be present at the meetings to inform the community of future plans and answer any questions that those in attendance may have.

The first meeting, on Feb. 7th, will take place at the First United Methodist Church located at 508 Reynolds Road in Bryant. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., in the Family Life Center and the topic will be public safety.

On Thursday, Feb. 21, the second meeting will take place at the First Pentecostal Church located at 4200 Highway 5 North in Bryant. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., and will cover public works.

The third meeting will be at the First Southern Baptist Church on 604 South Reynolds in Bryant on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 6:30 p.m. The topic covered will be community image.

Quality of life will be covered in the last meeting on Tuesday, March 5, at Bishop Park, located at 6401 Boone Road in Bryant. This meeting will also begin at 6:30.

Notes will be taken at all of the meetings and compiled into a report that will be given to the City Council after every meeting. Those who want their opinion heard and taken into consideration, should plan to attend these town hall meetings.
