The Bryant High School varsity wrestling team competed in the 19-team CAC tournament on Saturday, placing 11th despite[more] the absence of two of its top athletes. Both Brandon Powell and Zack Simmons were out with injuries.
Individually, O'Dell Lee won at the 189-lb. division. Levi Brady placed third at 171 and Brett Blend placed fourth at 135.
The Hornet varsity wrestlers will be back in action Monday night in a three-team match at the Bryant Middle School gym. Wrestling begins at 5:30 and will start with Cabot squaring off against Conway followed by Bryant vs. Cabot in the second duel and Bryant vs. Conway in the third and final duel.
There will be a short 10-15 minute break after each competition before the next one starts.
