Bryant senior Drew Tipton is going to Arkansas State University this fall on a baseball scholarship but it looks like he’ll get a chance to play football one more time. The three-year starter in the secondary for the Hornets’ football team, Tipton has been selected to play in the 59th annual Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star football game on Friday, June 26, at Estes Stadium on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

Tipton will be a member of the East all-stars, which will be coached by Junction City’s David Carpenter.

An all-State selection after the 2014 season, Tipton was in on 59 tackles with a sack and a team-high 10 pass break-ups and two blocked kicks including an extra point that preserved the Hornets’ 28-27 win over Springdale Har-Ber in the first round of the Class 7A playoffs.
