Kickball tourney to benefit Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity and the Point 94.1 have teamed up to present the first charity kickball tournament, Kick’em Home for Habitat, on Saturday, June 26, at Alcoa Park in Bryant. The one day tournament will begin with team registration at 9:30 a.m., and the first round of games will kick off at 10. Alcoa Park is located at 1110 Shobe Road, and features 40 acres of space, three softball fields and plenty of shaded areas for spectators.[more]

Players must be at least 18 years old to participate, and games will follow a simplified version of adult kickball rules. Team rosters can have up to 15 players per roster, but no less than eight players to field a team. Additionally, each team is required to have five female members per roster and four female players in the field at all times. Team registration forms along with entry fees are due back to the Habitat office no later than June 14 by close of business. Only the first 16 teams to register and pay the $100 entry fee will be allowed to participate in the event.

Local musical acts are scheduled to provide entertainment for the whole family throughout the day, and concessions will be available. You can join in the fun by registering a team, volunteering at the event, or sponsoring a field, dugout, or tournament t-shirt.
