Planning Commission plans public hearing

By Martin Couch

There will be a public hearing at the Bryant Planning Commission's January meeting at City Hall to discuss[more] an application by Chuck Campbell requesting a variance from the zoning regulations to reduce a setback at 219 Brown Lane.

The current zoning of the property at Brown Lane is highway commercial and the applicant wants to reduce the rear yard setback from the required 55 feet to 28 feet in lieu of a new privacy fence for a professional office.

The property is owned by Pecan Tree Properties, LLC.

"This is for a public hearing to be set at our next meeting," Planning Commission chairman Lance Penfield said. "It will go before the Bryant board of zoning adjustments."

The meeting is set for 6 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 10.
