Heather Hinson, a fifth grade student at Bryant Elementary School, received the special Art and The Written Word Award as part of the 50th annual Young Arkansas Artists Competition and Exhibition for her work in pencil which she entitled "Math + Art = Marth". Her art teacher at BES is Jan Patrick, left. The award, sponsored by the Arkansas Arts Center Education Department, was presented by Arkansas Arts Center Education Director Lou Palermo, right, at the ceremony and exhibition Sunday at the Center in Little Rock.
