Results of the Bryant Elementary School art contest, conducted by art teachers Jan Patrick and Amber Crenshaw, have been announced. The first-place artworks will be submitted to the Young Arkansas Artists contest while second- and third-place works will be sent to the Saline County Art Guild’s show.
First-place winners (with their grade teacher) included:
Kindergarten, Amber Jones (Jane Stacy); first grade, Mikayla Dudley (Cheryl Campbell); second grade, Brennon Humphry (Penny Schleiff); third grade, Kayla Baker, (Midge Chandler), fourth grade, Serye Kim (Tiffany Cookus); fifth grade, Nathan Mayes (Phyllis Flowers).
Second place winners (with their grade teacher) included:
First grade, Rachel Buck (Monica Brown); second grade, Kobi Greer (Abbie Morgan); third grade, Grant Botti (Whitney Turetsky); fourth grade, Carlee Hutchins (Kelly Keene); fifth grade, Gavin Patterson (Phyllis Flowers).
Third place winners (with their grade teacher) included:
First grade, Caroline Skinner (Mary Beth Byars); second grade, Abbi Barron (Penny Schleiff); third grade, Gabby Logsdon (Jennie Tombrello); fourth grade, Savannah Biniakewitz (Tiffany Cookus); fifth grade, Melissa Salas (Stacey Balisterri).
Results of the Young Arkansas Artists contest will be released by March 3 on the website www.YAA@arkarts.com
Results from the Saline County Art Guild show will be shown Sunday, March 7, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the Saline Memorial Hospital Atrium.
