FAYETTEVILLE — The Bryant High School tennis season ended Monday with three losses in the Class 7A State Tennis Tournament at the University of Arkansas tennis facility.

In girls singles, Whitney Butler lost to Kaylee Hamiliton of Rogers Heritage 1-6, 2-6 and Callie Hogancamp lost to McKenna Kraus of Bentonville 1-6, 0-6.

In boys singles, Cade Howard lost to Justin Pollard of Bentonville 0-6, 4-6.

“Cade made a mild comeback in the second set to take a 4-3 lead, but lost the final three games,” noted Hornets coach Steve Wilson.

“This is the most we’ve taken to State since I have been here,” he said of his trio of players. “It was the second appearance for Callie and Whitney. Cade and Whitney will both be back next year.”
