LITTLE ROCK — The Bryant Lady Hornets have won all of their track and field meets this season with spectacular performances by junior Alexis Royal and strong performances from several other athletes but at the 7A-Central Conference championship meet at Scott Field today, the team’s depth will be tested like in no other meet this season.

Each team at the meet will be able to enter as many as four in every event, giving an edge to teams with depth of talent like Cabot and North Little Rock.

Bryant’s girls will be after their third straight conference championship in what will be their final league meet in the Central. Though Bryant will be a member of the South Conference next year, it’ll be competing in the post-season in the 7A-West.

Depth will also be a major challenge for the Bryant boys team, of course. The team has improved throughout the season despite nagging injuries to key members. The Hornets were fourth in their most recent meet at Conway behind deep league rivals Conway, North Little Rock and Cabot.

Prelims begin at 10 this morning.
