Rams' third-quarter burst carries them past Bryant Blue

NORTH LITTLE ROCK —The Ridgeroad Rams of North Little Rock put together a 15-2 run in the third quarter to take control of their game with the Bryant Blue Hornets of Bethel Middle School in an eighth grade basketball game at the East campus gym Monday night.

Grayson Ruple led the Hornets with 9 points. Jordan Gentry added 5, Evan Lee 4 with Aaron Orender and Gunnar Burks contributing 3 each. Blake Carnahan and Nick Hardin had a basket apiece.

Ridgeroad held just a 9-5 lead after a quarter. The two teams played pretty evenly in the second quarter with the Rams taking a 24-18 advantage to the break.

The Hornets are now 6-8 on the season. They take on the rival Bryant White Hornets on Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Bryant Middle School gym then wrap up the regular season against Conway on Monday, Feb. 6.
