A workshop was held last month in hopes of working out a sign ordinance that both the Bryant City Council and the Bryant Chamber of Commerce could agree on. As a result, the first reading of a proposed ordinance took place at the August meeting of the Council last Thursday.
According to City Clerk Heather Kizer, alderman present and voting yes were, Mike Chandler, Steve Gladden, Rob Roedel, Scott Curtis and Adrian Henley. Chris Tipton abstained from the vote due to a conflict of interest and Brenda Miller and Danny Steele were absent.
The Council will have a second reading of the ordinance at the Sept. 27 meeting that will be held at the Boswell Municipal Complex.
