Because of heavy rains and the fact that the final four teams were all from Arkansas, the conclusion of[more] the Cal Ripken 9-year-old Southwest Regional Tournament will now be held somewhere in Arkansas.
According to Bryant coach Clint Hilson, the site, dates and times are still to be determined. The teams were given the option of staying in Hattiesburg, Miss., to conclude the tournament or bring it back to Arkansas after rains had made the fields there unplayable. The coaches all agreed to bring it home.
As it stands, Bryant is set to play Little Rock Junior Deputy in one semifinal while Benton is scheduled to face Bentonville.
