RUSSELLVILLE — The Bryant Blue Lady Hornets of Bethel Middle School made the long trip to Russellville on Tuesday and ran into a buzzsaw. In the eighth grade game, Russellville’s Lady Whirlwinds prevailed 29-9 and, in the seventh grade contest, Russellville held forth, 31-8.
For the eighth grade team, Addison Funk had 3 points. Kattrina Johnson, Ryleigh Laughlin and Baylee Huchison each scored 2 points.
In the seventh grade game, Christine Mefford, Rachel Cicero, Taryn Keim and Jade Rivers scored 2 apiece for Bethel.
The Bethel eighth grade girls travel to Conway Blue on Monday, Dec. 5. Both teams play at Cabot North on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
