Second Chance Youth Ranch Bull Ride is Saturday

BENTON — The third annual Second Chance Youth Ranch Bull Ride is Saturday, May 11, at[more] the Saline County Fair Grounds.

A car show kicks off the event at 9 a.m., followed by a concert by "Dry County" at 1 p.m. The Junior Bull Ride will start at 3 and the main event, the Tuff Enough Rodeo Bull Ride will begin at 7.

Admission for kids 5 and under is free, For those 6-11 years old, it’s $5, and 12 and up is $10. All proceeds go to benefit the Second Chance Youth Ranch.

The Ranch is located on approximately 300 acres in central Arkansas and opened up to receive children in 2005. It "exists to provide abused, neglected, and at-risk youth a caring home while actively working to resolve crises in the youth's life, restoring the individual and reunifying the family," according to www.2cyr.org.

Currently, the Ranch can hold up to 27 youths, ages 10-18 years.

"We are very excited to have the Tuff Enuf Rodeo Professional Bull Riders put on our third annual event,” said Perry Black, founder of Second Chance Youth Ranch. “With the help of our great sponsors and the Central Arkansas community, we are expecting a great day of activities and a great evening event benefiting 2CYR."

Black is also the Senior Pastor at Family Church Bryant.
