WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? Probably, pots and pans

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? Run at Northwestern State University in Louisiana, study Physical Education and coaching.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO’S HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? HOW? Lolo Jones is really inspirational to me. She’s like my favorite athlete. I kind of compare myself to her sometimes.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT TRACK? Competition

EVENTS? Long jump, triple jump, 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 4×100 and 4×400

WHAT APPROACH DO YOU TAKE TO YOUR EVENTS? I just get a mindset for all of it. It’s kind of all the same to me. It’s competition and I don’t like to lose.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? It’s coming along better than what I thought. I kind of didn’t expect to be as healthy as I am now but my coaches helped me out.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? We’ve won every meet we’ve competed in so far, and just spending my last year with the team.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT THE REST OF THE SEASON? Training hard every day and staying together, everybody just working hard as a team and doing what they have to do individually.

TALK ABOUT YOUR EVENT NOW; WHAT DO YOU THINK IS YOUR BIGGEST ASSET? WHAT ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO? Right now, it’s between hurdling and triple jumping. Triple jump is one of my favorite events but hurdling is what I’m kind of coming along pretty well in. I’m still trying to get my times down but I’m going to college for both of them so . . .

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST IN PRACTICE TO IMPROVE ON?
Endurance and speed.

WHEN YOU’RE THROUGH RUNNING TRACK AT BRYANT HIGH SCHOOL, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL LOOK BACK AND REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE? My coaches; Coach (Keith) Dale and Coach (Danny) Westbrook, I’m going to miss them both; them and the girls that I’ve been on the team with my whole four years.
