NAME: Tyler Brown

PARENTS: Shelley and Brad Brown

SIBLINGS: A sister. Her name’s 16. She’s 15.

FAVORITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL: English

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? I like to hang out with my friends and play video games and play softball.

FAVORITE FOOD: Buffalo wings

FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST OR GROUP: I just like everything

FAVORITE MOVIE: Never Back Down

FAVORITE TV SHOW: Two and a Half Men.[more]

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? Probably my Mighty Ducks hockey stick.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? Go to Henderson and study to be a teacher and a coach.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? Probably my grandpa. I just look up to him. He would go to work everyday and work hard for his family and he would do just whatever it takes to put the food on the table.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT BASEBALL: Just going out there and playing with all the guys, just having a good time every day, going to work, working hard and winning.

POSITIONS: Third and first

WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH IN THE FIELD? Just do my job, don’t worry about anything else. Do every thing that I can to make us a better team on the field.

WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH AT THE PLATE? Just do my job, get the job done.

WHAT DO YOU FEEL LIKE IS YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY ON THE TEAM? Be a leader. That’s the main responsibility since I’m a senior. I have to be a leader every day. I try to be loud, talk every day. Be very vocal, that’s the main thing.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I think it’s good. We had one minor setback against Watson Chapel. I think that was a downer but, other than that, the Florida tournament was a big success and that got all of our confidence up. I think that was the best baseball we’ve played all year.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? Winning the Florida tournament, for sure.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON? Just working hard every day, going out there to practice and working hard and playing as a team.

INDIVIDUALLY, WHAT ABOUT YOUR GAME ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT ABOUT? My fielding, for sure. I think that’s the best part of my game. My hitting’s on and off every once in a while. I hit all right but my fielding is my best part.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE? My hitting. I work with the tee with Coach (Kirk) Bock. We come early every day and work on hitting.

AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH PLAYING BASEBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? Winning the State championship with my team and I’ll remember Coach Bock, all the things that he’s helped me through, even for life, for the future. Waking up at 5:30 every morning and going to practice.
