Reagan Smith, swim/dive team, was
named December Athlete of the Month and wrestler Connor[more] Goshien was
selected Athlete of the Month for January.
Bryant High School in cooperation with Sykes Enterprises in Malvern honors a student-athlete of the month. Selected by the school, students are recognized for their great athletic abilities along with outstanding classroom performance. According to BHS swim coach Angel Dale, “Reagan comes to practice ready
to work hard and give the team 100%. She is always willing and eager to swim for
any event at our meets.”
Smith participated in the summer swim league, but as
a freshman this is her first year with the BHS swim team.
Connor Goshien is a senior with a 4.0 GPA as a two-sport athlete, wrestling and
cross country. His current record in wrestling is 14-1.
Dondre Harris, BHS wrestling
coach, said, “Connor appreciates the hard work associated with wrestling and
he thrives on competition. During a match, he is totally focused and kicks into
another gear. All of his teammates look up to him.”
Sykes Enterprises presented Reagan and Connor with plaques during halftime at
the Jan. 22 Bryant Hornet basketball game.
