Youth baseball State Tournaments begin this weekend

It’s State Tournament time for the all-star baseball teams from the[more] Bryant Athletic Association.

Only the youngest and the oldest teams will not be involved in State tourneys. The youngest — the 6-year-old T-ball team — finished third at State last weekend in Sherwood and await the Southwest Regional as the host team starting July 15. That’s the date too that the oldest — the Bryant Black Sox Senior American Legion team — will host the Zone 4 Tournament at Bryant High School Field, bidding to reach State July 22.

Here is the schedule for Friday:

Cal Ripken 8-and-under State tournament at Sherwood

• Bryant 7’s (managed by Jason Greiner) vs. Marion (Smith), 12: 30 p.m.

• Bryant 8’s (managed by Matt Orender) vs. winner of Bryant 7’s-Marion, 4 p.m.

• Bryant 8-and-under (managed by Greg Riggs) vs. winner of Cabot (Birdsong)-Marion (Waller), 2:15 p.m.

Cal Ripken 9-year-old State Tournament at Lonoke

• Bryant (managed by Clint Hilson) vs. Little Rock Junior Deputy B, 3 p.m.

Cal Ripken 10-year-old State Tournament at Lake Village

• Bryant (managed by Michael Catton) vs. Brinkley, 1:45 p.m.

Cal Ripken 11-year-old State Tournament at Bryant

• Bryant (managed by Jonathan Wright) vs. winner of Camden-Benton game, 11 a.m. (Saturday, July 9)

Cal Ripken 12-and-under State Tournament (46/60) at Hamburg

• Bryant (managed by Rob Roedel) vs. winner of Hamburg vs. TBD, 12:45 p.m. (Saturday, July 9)

Cal Ripken 12-year-old State Tournament (57/70) at Bryant

• Bryant (managed by Darren Hurt) vs. winner of Hot Springs Village vs. Lonoke, 3 p.m. (Saturday, July 9)

Babe Ruth 13-year-old State Tournament at Little Rock Junior Deputy

• Bryant (managed by Mark Kehrees) vs. Camden, 10 a.m.

Babe Ruth 14-year-old State Tournament at Benton

• Bryant (managed by Jeff Besancon) vs. winner of Pine Bluff Seabrook vs. Clark County, 10 a.m. (Saturday, July 9)

Babe Ruth 15-year-old State Tournament at Crossett

• Bryant (managed by Jason Thompson) vs. Hot Spring County, 10 a.m.

Junior American Legion State Tournament at Sheridan

• Bryant (managed by Jimmy Parker) vs. Jonesboro, 12 p.m.

Members of the 7-year-old team are Evan Barrrett, Luke Dreher, Caleb Greiner, Drew Hatman, Kason Highfill, Connor Martin, Logan McDonald, Colby Morrow, Cade Parker, Turner Seelinger, Hayden Thompson and Logan White. Greiner is assisted by Ryan Martin and Kevin McDonald.

Orender’s 8-year-old team includes Luke Bessire, Dakota Clay, Cooper Davis, Noah Davis, Peyton Dillon, Will Hathcote, Jagger Littleton, Justin Orender, Brett Pennington, Austin Schroeder, Lawson Speer, Josh Turner and Garret Wilson. He’s assisted by Patrick Schroeder and Paul Speer.

Riggs’ 8-and-under team includes Kannon Allison, Tyler Bates, Clay Curtis, Tyler Edmonson, Cole Ferguson, Easton Dinwiddie, Christian Knight, Cameron McDonald, Cooper Kinzler, Ryan Riggs, Blaine Sears and Cole Somer. Scott Allison and Scott Curtis are the assistant coaches.

Bryant’s 9-year-old All-Stars include Cade Drennan, Jonathan Hall, Hayden Hilson, Rhett James, Colton Kilgore, Tyler LaRue, Braydan Lester, Jake Meaders, Trey McKim, Riley Morales, Shane Small and Gage Stark. Hilson is assisted by Mike Meadors and Bill Drennan.

The 10-year-old team includes Brock Barriola, Logan Catton, Logan Chambers, Connor Clontz, Jacob Coppock, Cade Dupree, Logan Grant, Coby Greiner, Ty Jackson, Ryan Lessenberry, Will McEntire, Hunter Mullings, Nathan McFarland and Jacob Sheppard. Catton’s assistants are Phillip Dupree and Madison McEntire.

The 11-year-old team includes Myers Buck, Luke Curtis, Caleb Dorsey, Brooks Ellis, Joe Green, Christian Harp, Brandon Hoover, Zach Kemp, Dylan Lawhon, Blake Pennington, Grayson Prince, Cameron Vail and Cooper Wright. Wright is assisted by Jimmy Pennington and Tyler Brown.

The 46/60 12-year-old team includes Landon Abernathy, Ethan Cozzens, Dylan Davis, Lawson Fincher, Austin Hooper, Audrey Horn, Jared Morales, Jake Roedel, Kyle Sahr, Joseph Small, Logan Valestin and Diego Vargas. Roedel’s assistants are Keith Horn and Brian Hooper.

The 50/70 12’s are Logan Allen, Beaux Bonvillian, Drew Brown, Cameron Coleman, Jake East, Jeffery Hastings, Dylan Hurt, D.J. McKinney, Austin Kelly, Hayden Knowles, Preston Kyzer, Garrett Misenheimer, Aaron Orender, Matthew Sandidge and Scott Schmidt. Hurt is assisted by Rick Brown and Randy Kelly.

The 13-year-old All-Stars are Connor Alliston, Luke Brantley, Chase Brooks, Daniel Darbonne, Noah Easterling, Zach Jackson, Nick Kehrees, Mike Martindale, Caleb McElyea, Liam Miller, Connor Tatum and Hunter Winkles. Mark Kehrees’ assistants are Tom Kehrees and Johnny Alliston.

The 14’s include Dakota Besancon, Ben Bruick, Britton Crouch, Devon Dupree, Clifton Hampton, Dalton Holt, Regon Jefferson, Andrew Kincaid, Austin Montgomery, Hunter Oglesby, Jimbo Seale, Drew Tipton and Jacob Ward. Besancon is assisted by Chris Tipton and Stephen Kincaid.

Bryant’s 15’s are Austin Caldwell, Harrison Dale, Zach Graddy, Jack James, Tristan Matthews, Austin Miller, C.J. Phillips, Nate Rutherford, Caleb Strain, Korey Thompson, Chris Troilett, Chase Tucker and Blake Yates. Thompson is assisted by Chris Phillips and Jimmy Parker.
