About Us/Contact, Subscription Info

Rob Patrick has been involved in radio and newspaper since the early 1980’s. After serving in several capacities including operations director/program director at radio stations KKEG-FM/KFAY-AM in Fayetteville for six years, he became a sportswriter at the Northwest Arkansas Times. While at the paper, he continued to host a sports talk radio show with then-sports information director Rick Schaffer of the University of Arkansas.

In 1988, Patrick took the sports editor’s job at the Benton Courier where he worked until 1996. He also helped on Benton Panthers radio broadcasts and was a guest host on Sports Talk with Randy Rainwater at KBEZ-FM The Buzz in Little Rock.

After a brief stint at the Conway Log-Cabin Democrat, he became editor and sports writer for the Bryant Times while writing sports for the Sheridan Headlight as well. When the Times folded in November 2008, Patrick started BryantDaily.com.

In 2010, an award to be given annually in appreciation for service to the Bryant Athletic Department, was established as the Rob Patrick Award. The honor was given to Patrick that year and is given out to a new recipient each year prior to the Salt Bowl, the annual football game between the Bryant Hornets and the Benton Panthers held at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

He has served as the radio voice of the Hornets football team since 1997, handles public address work in other sports and handles play-by-play on live streaming of Bryant athletic events on BryantAthletics.com and Hornet Vision.

Could you please cancel my subscription. My grandchildren have graduated and I’m not following the Bryant news like I once was. Thank you for for your great writing and sports news coverage! It really helped to be able to follow my grandchildren’s activities during their high school careers.

On “White defeats Blue in eighth-grade girls contest December 8, 2017”, Rachel Cicero did not play, Sadie Breeding did not play. Heather Hammett scored 2 points, Madelyn Sanders scored a 2 point basket and a Free Throw, Christine Mefford scored scored 1 point on a free throw, and I scored 4 points. So, I don’t know what happened. Can you please figure that out and fix it please, and thank you!
