Art Guild of Saline County to host reception

BENTON — The Art Guild of Saline County will hold its annual adult art exhibit and reception for the public on Sunday, Nov. 8, 1-3 p.m., in the Saline Memorial Hospital Health Education Building.

Anyone over the age of 18 can enter his or her art to be judged. The art should be original work created in the last year. There are seven categories: 1) Animals, 2) Figures, 3) Abstract/Non-Objective, 4) Still Life, 5) Landscape/Seascape, 6) Professional Abstract/Landscape/Still Life and 7) Professional Portraits/Animals/Figures.[more]

Framed entries with wire hangers may be submitted Friday, Nov. 6, 10 a,m.-4 p.m., and Saturday, Nov, 7, 10 a.m.-Noon in the Saline Memorial Hospital Health Education Building. Entry fees are $10 for non-members and $8 for Art Guild members.

Paintings will remain on display at the hospital for one week. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in each category and Best of Show. Winning entries will then be displayed at the main branch of Regions Bank in downtown Benton until Jan. 10, 2010.
