BHS bands, WinterGuard earn top honors

The Bryant High School Bands performed in the Region's annual Concert Assessment on Saturday, March 12, and all three bands[more] earned Superior, First Division ratings.

The Bryant High School Wind Ensemble was under the direction of Chad Green, the Bryant High School Symphonic Band was directed by Jon Doty and the Bryant freshman band director is Stewart Wright.

“In order for us to reach this level of success year-after-year, it requires teamwork and commitment,” Green noted. “We are proud that all three bands earned Superior, First Division ratings.”

In addition, Green announced that the Bryant WinterGuard competed in Dallas recently and earned first place honors in their dividion, third place overall in a field of 30 other guards.

“This volunteer group of 16 young ladies met after school two or three times a week,” he noted. “This is only the second WinterGuard Bryant has had in four years.”

The Guard was under the direction of John Ladd.
