BHS teams open 7A-Central Conference season tonight (standings included)

The Bryant High School basketball teams begin the second season tonight. Along with the visiting Little Rock Catholic Rockets and Mount St. Mary’s Belles, the Hornets and Lady Hornets will begin the 7A-Central Conference gauntlet at the Hornets Nest.

Little Rock Central and Russellville officially got the league slate started on Tuesday with Central sweeping their counterparts. Tonight, Central hosts Van Buren, Russellville visits North Little Rock and Conway travels to Cabot in the other conference games.[more]

Bryant’s Lady Hornets will be trying to bounce back from their first loss of the season at Sheridan on Tuesday. They are 12-1 overall but, as head coach Blake Condley has said, that part of the season in over and all the records are 0-0.

The Hornets too are hoping to get back on the winning track that had them 6-3 earlier this season. They fell to 7-7 with a last-second loss to Sheridan on Tuesday.
