BHS wrestlers perform well at Van Buren Duals

VAN BUREN — The Bryant High School wrestling team won six of their eight bouts at the Van Buren Duals on Friday and Satruday.

Gage Pearson, Reggie Clemons, Ben Adair, Landon Smith and Nathan Mayes led the Hornets’ effort.

The Hornets only lost to Greenbrier, which won the team championship, and Rogers, which finished second. Their victories came over Greenwood, Fort Smith Northside, Fort Smith Southside, host Van Buren, Conway and Quinton, Okla.

“Everyone did a great job,” said Bryant coach Dondre Harris. “It was a complete team effort.”

The meet completed the team’s pre-Christmas schedule. They’re set to return to competition on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Benton.
