The Bryant Black Sox Senior American Legion team will start its State Tournament where the[more] Bryant Hornets high school team left off — playing a team from Rogers.
Actually, there aren’t any players on the Rogers Legion team that played for the Rogers Heritage War Eagles squad that the Sox defeated for their second Class 7A State championship in three years. Most likely, the Legion team is made up of players from around Rogers plus those who graduated in 2011.
Rogers is the No. 2 seed from Zone 1. Bentonville is seeded first from that Zone.
Bryant earned the top seed from Zone 4 with a sweep of Texarkana in the championship round of the league tournament in Texarkana on Monday.
