Bryant schools, Rutherford sever ties

The Bryant School District released this statement after the Monday, April 7, meeting of the Board of Education:

“The Bryant School Board unanimously voted last night to accept the separation agreement between the Bryant School District and former superintendent Randy Rutherford.

Dr. Fred G. Dawson will remain interim superintendent with the Board’s full confidence in his ability to lead the district at this time. We will begin the search for a new superintendent promptly and will seek a candidate who shares our mission of educating, motivating, and challenging our students. Of course, any candidate for superintendent of Bryant Public Schools will need to be a strong leader who possesses a spirit of innovation and a willingness to balance school and community concerns.

Most importantly, we recognize how fortunate our school district is to have such strong parental and community support for our students and school personnel. Your support for the district will help us fulfill our mission of providing a high quality education to our students.”
