The Bryant White Lady Hornets eighth grade team of Bryant Middle School suffered a 28-21 loss to the Ridge Road Lady Rams at the BMS gym Thursday night.
The Bryant White girls include Jayla Anderson, Lindsey Butler, Mallory Curry, Katie Davidson, Jerrica Gray, Haley Holliman, Destiny Hoffman, Colleen Johnson, Miranda Lawrence, Taylor Lindberg, Makayla Nguyen, Alexis Parsely, Briana Rutherford, Sarah Shepard and Abby Staton.
“We played very aggressively and were able to force several turnovers to get some quick points,” noted Lady Hornets coach DeAnna Ward. “I hated to lose but the girls played well.”
Anderson finished with 6 points, Johnson 5. Huffman and Lindberg added 4 each. Lindberg collected seven rebounds with Lawrence pulling down five and Johnson two.
“Balanced scoring shows how[more] unselfishly we are playing now,” Ward noted.
The Lady Hornets host Bryant Blue on Monday, Dec. 13.
