Bryant's Cara Prichard represented the city and the state of Arkansas at Liberty Bowl festivities.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Bryant High School’s 2009 Homecoming Queen Cara Prichard was among those chosen by America’s Homecoming Queen Association to represent the city and the state of Arkansas at the 2010 Liberty Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 2.

Prichard and 87 other girls from around the country braved freezing temperatures, participating in pregame and halftime festivities at the bowl game, which featured the Arkansas Razorbacks against the East Carolina Pirates.

“I received a letter from America’s Homecoming Queen Association requesting information about me such as community and school activities and grades,” Prichard related. “It was very exciting because the Hogs were there and they won.”

In addition, Prichard and the other Queens visited St. Jude Children’s Hospital and took part in the Liberty Bowl Parade down historic Beale Street.

“It was an awesome experience and an honor to represent my hometown of Bryant,” she said.
