Collegeville Elementary’s fifth grade presented “A World of Music” Thursday night, May 7. Music teacher Marcia Brown arranged and directed the event.[more]
The songs included “A World of Music” led by girls ensemble Sarah Bullington, Sierra Magneson and Leah Cook and speakers Clay Caffey and Tyler Dedmon.
“Celebration Sounds” with instrumental ensemble consisting of Efrain Gomez, Jordan Sawyer, Kelsi Beard, Bryson Langston, Jake Price, Ronnie Beard, DeShonde McKeever, Clyn Baker, Chad Cushing, Noah Brock, Kaylee Pickens, Tyler Batson, and Alexys Kuchinski.
“Juba Jive” with instrumental ensemble Kendall Selig, Caleb Hansen, Emily Stewart, Megan McIntyre, Nick Hardin, Ethan Jarvis and Susanna Pedregal along with speakers Andrew Ruffner and Teresa Rodarte.
“Los Colores De Le Primevera” headlined by ribbon dancers Kendall Selig, Alyson Sarlo, Jordan Deval, Emily Burgess, Melissa Barrientos, Jessica Adams, Emily Stewart, Ashley Groves, Kaylee Pickens, Amee Kalberer, Kiersten Wilson, Carys Minks, Joceline Roman and Amber Watson. The song also included speaker Elizabeth Trimble.
“Fang Yang Hang Gu” with fan dancers Abigail McGee, LeAnn Ward, Elizabeth Trimble, Ashton Kimbrough, Kaylee Sharp, Sarah Anderson and Sydney Sale. Playing the parts of Chinese vendors were Ashlee Mays, Grayson Ruple, Logan Mills, Jackson Murphy and the speaker was Katherine Roberts.
“Day-O” featured soloist Kelsi Beard, Conga line Katherine Roberts, Brayden Prince, Hayden Madden, Katherine Farmer, Kent Bates and Matthew Moran. Day-O’s speaker was Erika Lindsey.
“Sounds All Around Us” was set up like a street stomp with Liam Miller, Hannah Shelby, Erick Stewart and James Lemus with Basketballs; Tyler Brock, Erin Lowe and Andrew Ruffner on Brooms; Arron Kalberer and Omar Oropeza with trashcans. Speakers were Logan Mills and Clyn Baker.
The final song was “Universal Language” hosted by speakers Liam Miller and Kiersten Wilson.
Principal Todd Sellers kicked off the evening with a welcome to all friends and family.
