The Bryant Hornets junior varsity team, behind touchdowns from Jeremiah Long and Kris King and a strong defensive effort at the end, held on for a 24-23 win over the Hot Springs Lakeside Rams JV on Monday night at Bryant Stadium.

King’s touchdown run went 50 yards. Jakalon Pitttman added a pair of 2-point conversions.

“The defense stepped up late to hold the Rams,” noted Hornets coach Clint Shadwick. “Defensive standouts were Collin Welch, Ben Bell and Avery Everett.”

The next JV game for Bryant will be at Benton on Monday, Oct. 19.
