Sixty young athletes from schools across Saline County attended the first D.A.R.T. football[more] camp, conducted by Bryant High School offensive coordinator Lance Parker, June 24-26 at Bishop Park.
The camp focused on football skills and learning about the character traits encompassed by the name (Discipline, Attitude, Respect, Trust), according to Parker who was a star quarterback for the Bryant Hornets and Ouachita Baptist Tigers.
“Each day, the kids worked on football drills then took breaks for small group discussion for one of the character traits,” Parker said.
Each participant received a team wristband, certificate of testing results, and a t-shirt.
