Five students from Bryant High School have been selected to attend the 2014 Arkansas Governor’s School hosted at Hendrix College. This summer program provides a unique experience for a select group of Arkansas’ best students — the potential leaders of the 21st century.

Bryant students selected to attend include:

Gabriella Crowley (Social Science), daughter of Suzanne & David Crowley

Abigail Resendiz (Visual Arts), daughter of Abigail & Paulino Resendiz

Riley Tribble (English/ Language Arts), son of Lynn & Brian Tribble

Alex Denker (Social Science), son of Lynn & Kel Denker

Hailey Squires (Social Science), daughter of Vicki & Tim Hughes

The Arkansas Governor’s School is a six-week summer residential program for gifted and talented students. Students explore new theories in the arts and sciences and develop a greater understanding of how art, culture, and knowledge change. Students are also challenged to develop creative and intellectual skills.

Selection for Governor’s School is based on a combination of ability and interest and is highly competitive. The six-week intensive program is in its thirty-fifth year.
