BENTON – On Saturday, June 18, Habitat for Humanity of Saline County started a neighborhood playground in[more] Partnership Village. The project brought together various community partners and volunteers. Local volunteers and Levi Strauss & Co. team members, Michael Rushing and Liz Heil, contributed by volunteering on the Habitat construction site for a Community Work Day that resulted in a $4,500 contribution to the Playground project from The Levi Strauss Foundation.
“Habitat is very close to fully funding the playground project started back in June, thanks in part to employees of Levi Strauss and the Levi Strauss Foundation,” said Karma Herzfeld, Executive Director of Saline County Habitat for Humanity.
“The Foundation contributes money towards eligible non-profit organizations, in which Levi Strauss employees volunteer their time,” Herzfeld added.
