Hornets ease past Panthers in JV game

The Hornets took the lead when Powell combined with Adam Gonzalez on a 50-yard touchdown pass early in the game. Later in the first half, Bryant worked a flea-flicker that resulted in a touchdown pass to Nic Moore.

In addition, Devon Sears caught a slant near the goal line for a touchdown.

A trio of Hornets intercepted passes as well. Parker Dunn, Dakota Johnson and Daniel Richards each picked off a pass while Travis Royal broke up three throws.

The win improved the Hornets JV to 7-0 on the season going into their final contest at Cabot on Monday, Oct. 25.
