Hornets football broadcasts will be on-line only

For the first time in 19 years, Bryant Hornets football will not be broadcast on the radio.

However, live streaming will be available on the bryantathletic.com website. In the future, games will be streaming live video and audio but, for the Salt Bowl on Friday night, all video will be delayed until after the game. There will be an audio feed of the play-by-play on the site, accessible by smart phone, tablet or home computer.

Rob Patrick returns to provide play-by-play with color commentary by former Hornet Aaron Shuttleworth.

There were plans to broadcast the games once again this year on KARN-AM 920 “The Sports Animal” but early this week Bryant athletic director Mike Lee said that he was contacted by the group that was awarded the rights to the broadcasts. He said he was told that the group had not been able to sell enough advertising to pay for the radio time on KARN so they would not be able to produce the broadcasts.
