Local realtor chips in with United Way drive

Jeremiah Oltmans

During the annual "Month of September" United Way campaign season, special events and activities are often seen as the trademark approach to generating the most donations. That may be true in many cases – but not all.

“I did not have an event, I just talked to people around the office and set a goal of $55 as the minimum donation per person,” said Jeremiah Oltmans, a realtor with Crye-Leike Bryant. “I did my own research about United Way and took the initiative on my own to ask for support and at the end of the day it resulted in $672 raised.”

While somewhat unconventional, Oltmans’ approach apparently connected with his fellow realtors.[more]

“All I know is that I like to give back to my community and that is why I accepted the invitation to head up the annual United Way fundraiser,” he said. “I really believe in giving back to the community. Since it has given so much to me I think it’s the least I can do.”

Perhaps recent history is an indicator that what Oltmans touches turns to gold. In 2006, his first year in real estate sales, he was presented by the Benton/Bryant Realtors Association as a statewide nominee for “Rookie of the Year.” And in the local realtor group he has chaired the ‘Awards of Excellence’ program and serves on the Special Olympics and Public Relations committees.

“Knowing that I might make a difference in someone’s life or way of life is a huge feeling of gratification,” he said. “I like giving to the United Way in particular because they stand for great causes and I know the money is going to be used within my community. I plan on making a difference within my community and working my way out to a broader area.”

Oltmans is a licensed realtor in Arkansas assisting buyers and sellers in and around Saline County. He specializes in all types of residential real estate sales with a focus on investment properties and new construction. He’s a member of Benton/Bryant Realtors Association, Arkansas Realtors Association (ARA) and National Association of Realtors (NAR).

For two years in a row, Oltmans has attained the “gold” level of sales with the Arkansas Realtors Association and he is the current President of the Leadership Saline County Alumni Association.

He is based out of the Crye-Leike Bryant branch sales office located at 4000 Highway 5 North, Suite 5. Oltmans can be contacted by phone at 501-412-6923 and email him at jeremiah.oltmans@crye-leike.com.
