New route, new time for Bryant’s Christmas Parade

Entries continue to come in for Bryant’s 3rd Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m.

“We have changed to a daytime parade[more] so that everyone may see better,” noted Chairperson Lori Lemons.

“We need to stress the parade will be south of Interstate 30 going down Reynolds Road from Sullivan to Northwest 4th Street, right on Northwest 4th and right on Wise to Boswell to School making a complete circle back to the Middle School parking lot,” noted Rae Ann Fields, Executive Director of the Bryant Area Chamber of Commerce.

Last year more about 60 entries made the parade.

All parties interested in the parade may enter a float, walkers, bike riders, horses. cars, etc. The parade line-up is at 9 a.m. at Bryant Middle School. The parade proceeds down Sullivan to Reynolds Road. Floats, displays, riders and walkers will then turn right and end at the First Southern Baptist Church.

“It will be important to be colorful and visual,” noted Lemons.

All churches, school organizations, businesses and community organizations are invited to participate. A $5 entry fee ($15 for late entry) is charged to cover the administration of the event. A trophy will be given for the Grand Prize. Cash prizes will be awarded for the first, second and third place floats: $150 for first place, $100 for 2nd and $50 for third.
