Open house scheduled at Saline County Career Center

BAUXITE – The Saline County Career Center will host an open house on Oct. 19 for parents, students, educators and community members to tour the center and visit with instructors and students.

The open house takes place 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the center, located at 3201 South Reynolds Road in Bauxite.[more]

Visitors will be able to tour the center’s facilities and visit with students as they demonstrate skills in the areas of auto technology, collision repair technology, cosmetology and medical professions education. Guests will also be able to meet two new instructors: Katrina Barnett, who teaches medical professions education, and Robin Reed, who teaches cosmetology.

The Saline County Career Center, operated by Pulaski Technical College on the former campus of Alcoa Reynolds in Bauxite, offers secondary career and technical education programs for high school students in Saline County.
