The second annual B Town Salt-Bowl-a-Thon will be held at Enterprise Lanes, Benton on[more] Friday, Aug. 9. Complete with a DJ, lots of food establishment gift card prizes and music, the day will be a great get-away from the office for fellowship with fellow workers and even friendly competitors.
Sponsors First Electric Cooperative Corp. and Entergy make the entertainment and food available for the bowlers.
Put on this year by the Bryant Area Chamber of Commerce, the event is a purposeful gathering of Saline Countians.
“The idea is for one office to challenge another office or branch in another Saline County town or for one competitor to challenge another competitor in another town,” noted Julie Roltsch, this year’s chairman.
“This event last year was a lot of high energy fun. We want to see if we can do that again,” noted Rae Ann Fields, Bryant Chamber director.
Bowling will begin at 1 p.m. Trophies will be awarded to individual top scorer and the first, second and third place teams. Last year’s winner was Saline Memorial Hospital, followed by the City of Bryant and then the City of Benton.
Teams are $200. Lane sponsorships for the event are $100 each. The registration form is available online at www.bryantchamber.com under events. Call the Chamber at 847-4702 for more information. Registration forms need to be returned by Aug. 1.
