Lt. J.W. Plouch is dedicated to his work for the Bryant Police Department.

He spent three years as an officer in Cammack Village in Little Rock and has been in Bryant since 1998.

"My father inspired me," Plouch said of his career in law enforcement. "He was the chief of Cammack Village for 18 years."

Plouch, who is the Patrol Commander and ERT Team Commander at the BPD, also directs the Patrol Warrants, School Resource Officers, the SWAT Team and BPD Honor Guard.

"I like the hometown feeling of the city and the many opportunities that are offered here," Plouch said. "The most enjoyment I get out of being a police officer is when I get to help with Special Olympics and our Toy Trooper Program."
