NAME: Jordan Murdock

PARENTS: Phyllis and Richard Murdock

SIBLINGS: I have a sister who’s 22 and a brother’s 21. Victoria Murdock and Brennan Murdock.

FAVORITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL: English

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? Kick it, just sleep.

FAVORITE FOOD: Chinese

FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST OR GROUP: I don’t have one.

FAVORITE MOVIE: Don’t have one.[more]

FAVORITE TV SHOW: I don’t watch TV

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? Probably a soccer ball

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? To either go to Henderson State or Fayetteville and major in business and music.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? Probably my uncle. He was a real father-figure when my dad wasn’t there, somebody to look up to.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT FOOTBALL: I just like hitting people.

POSITION: Right guard.

WHAT DO YOU FEEL LIKE IS YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY ON THE FIELD? Do my job, execute and make sure we get everything done.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? It’s been a real up season. I’m happy that we’ve been winning. We’re working hard, working together and working well. We make our mistakes but we bounce back from them every week. We learn and we work hard.

WHEN THE TEAM’S DOING WELL, WHAT’S IT DOING? Just keep working hard. We’ve just got to know that every week’s a new game. We’ve got to keep working hard every team can beat any other team on a given night.

WHAT'S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? The Conway game was a big highlight. The execution by the defense which played really hard. I’d say they won the game for us.

WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON? Consistency and hard work, just make sure we stay level and keep working hard.

INDIVIDUALLY, WHAT ABOUT YOUR GAME ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT ABOUT? Pass blocking is what I do. I’m not real big on run blocking.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE? Speed off the ball, speed to the linebackers, speed when I’m pulling or trapping.

AFTER YOU'RE THROUGH PLAYING FOOTBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? Practices, probably. Practices are more fun.
